“Jesus told them another parable: ‘the kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in the field. One night, when everyone was asleep, an enemy came and sowed [tares] among the wheat; and went away. When the plants grew and the heads of grain began to form, then the weeds showed up.
The man’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, it was good seed you sowed in your field, where did the [tares] come from?’ ‘It was some enemy who did this’, the master answered. ‘Do you want us to go and pull up the [tares]’ they asked him. ‘No’, he answered, because as you gather the weeds you might pull up some of the wheat along with them.

Let the wheat and the tares both grow together until harvest, and then, I will tell the harvest workers: pull up the [tares] first and tie them in bundles to throw in the fire; then gather in the wheat and put it in my barn.’” Matthew 13: 24 -30.
Wheat and Tares
Wheat is a plant grown for its grain that is used to produce the flour for bread, cake, pasta, etc.
A tare is a damaging weed growing in fields of grains. From the definitions above, wheat are highly valuable. It is the deliberate (good) plant(ing) of a farmer in a field.
Tares are the opposite. They are often not planted, except for landscape beautification. They compete with wheat for nutrients and so on. However in this parable, they have different meanings.
The Wheats Are God’s Children
In the story above, Jesus used the wheat to represent the children of God. While the tares are the plantings of the devil, his children and agents of darkness.
The planting is spiritual. God created you and I and set us on earth with His own identity. Unfortunately, if I carelessly allow myself to be misled, out of God’s plan for instance, the devil would definitely plant his seed in me. All of a sudden, I begin to work for him, while I live among other children of God.

The Two Grow Almost Alike
Look around you, there are obviously those who are working for the devil, they would confidently do everything that distaste a child of God. God has not uprooted them yet so as not to affect His genuine children. Also, perhaps they would change their ways.
The Separation; A Second Chance
Like the Parable of the Net, when God decides to end the world, he would (first) gather the tares into condemnation, and the wheat into eternal life.
Examine yourself. You are God’s special creation
Do not allow the devil to convert you to his, by planting his seed in you. In case you had lived for him (unknowingly), turn a new live today. Secure eternal life today in Christ Jesus.
God bless you.
