“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him and given Him a name which is above every name: that in the name of Jesus, every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things on earth, and things under the earth.” (Philippians 2: 9 – 10)
At the Beginning
People have the attitude of resorting to God after all else fail. Then, they remember that actually there is a God they could call onto. This happens in business, endeavours, our health and other personal issues. This should not be so.
At the beginning of every programme: family, business, career, work, or schooling, God should be carried along. At the foundation of everything we do, Christ should be inclusive. Christ is the sure foundation.
The Error Can Be Corrected
Have you witnessed the whole concrete foundation of a building been broken down for a fresh start? That happens sometimes. Especially when a major fault is found at the foundation. It is to prevent future disaster.
Similarly, in Christ, you can have the foundation of your life corrected. It’s a mystery. Yet, it is possible. In the Old Testament, the question in the first text was difficult to answer.
But today, Christ Jesus is the one answer to every question. This is serious.
If you build your life or invest in a business with a faulty foundation, then sure –the future is dark. It’s true. A building with a faulty foundation is a deathtrap. But Jesus who is the surest foundation can fix and replace every evil and wrong foundations in your life.
The righteousness of the righteous (based on works) cannot avert the impending doom of a bad foundation.
The Foundation Determines the Process and Finish
If the foundation of anything is bad, no doubt, the process would be regretful all through, and the end will certainly be doomed, (except divinely intervened).
On a bad foundation, one problem leads to another, and this generates a lot of fear, troubles, and unrest.
Examine your life, if Christ is not at the foundation and centre of your life, in all you do and all you are involved, then your life will be shaking and certainly if not intervened, the end is a certain failure. The answer to the question above is the second scripture. It’s simple, it’s applicable.
If you are not born again, then accept Christ now. If you are already a believer, then begin to ask that Christ should correct the foundation of everything you want Him to. There is power in the name Jesus. Christ is the surest foundation.
