[Jesus, the ultimate, irrevocable sacrifice]
In honour to the established spiritual principle, God gave up his son Jesus to retrieve us from the dominion of darkness which were once bound.
In previous episodes, I shared on the potency of sacrifice in the spirit realm. Sacrifice is like airtime which helps you communicate with people at distant places.
Similarly, God dwells in heaven and we on earth. Man gave up his right of fellowship in the Garden of Eden. The airtime which was available by default was stopped.
In order to restore man, God used a series of laws. Man could not keep up with the laws. Thus, man's access to God was limited and highly regulated. For example, people met God only through priests and prophets.
Deeper Fellowship
God desired deeper fellowship with his man. That came at a cost –His precious Son, Jesus.
"Christ had redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us, for it is written, cursed is everyone that hangs on the tree, that the blessings of Abraham may come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ. That we might receive the promise of the spirit through faith. Gal 3:13,14
Lay Down
Remember, sacrifice is something you lay down for something else. Your sacrifice maybe something physical you lay down for something intangible, or vice versa.
God wanted our souls and He gave up Christ to legally facilitate that recovery. It is a principle that is eternally valid.
It sounds like nothing goes for nothing.
If you're unwilling to lay down your past, you don't receive the future —Jesus. If you do not lay down your previous (unscriptural) wisdom and styles of doing things, then you are not ready to receive a higher version of wisdom.
1 Corinthians 3:18
Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seem to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
Through Jesus
Particularly, I'm pleased to say that if you do not sacrifice your confidence, you may not get his help. The more you hold onto your confidence in people, your experience, your certifications, and abilities, you will continue to achieve human results.
They'd be nothing extraordinary. 'Lean not on your own understanding', Solomon admonished. Proverbs 3:5
When you seek access to God for wisdom, wisdom for a difficult task or a project, or for help, then do like Elijah, set up an altar.
The Father will honour the name of His son. Call on Jesus. Pour out your heart. Prophesy, declare, worship all in the name of Jesus.
None Other
God won't respond because of your condition, but because of Jesus. He is always pleased with him. He's the sacrifice that was slain from the foundation of the world.
Don't try to cry afresh to God, leverage on the cry Jesus made on the cross. That was the most powerful cry. It received the most instantaneous response.
The Father is already pleased with Jesus. No other sacrifice can revoke, reverse, nullify or undo the potency of the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
He will always grant you access to God. Jesus is your ticket to all good things.
