James, I'm happy at last my letter has got to you today, at least before your new life erase your memories of following the Lord.

Bro Jay, those days, you were the Apostle Paul I knew. My Sunday school teacher taught us, but you were the example of Paul; the zeal and dexterity.

Serving God was a lifestyle for you. But Sir, that was a long time ago. You became an adult, and the things of God became too meager to gain your attention anymore. 😥

You remind me of James, the brother of Jesus, who supported his ministry till the end? Will your James leave the Lord half way?

Hmm, Jay Jay, I couldn't believe my ears when I heard you mock the young, struggling pastor of that church across the street, in your discussion with your overnight companions.

I wish I didn't relocate few days later, I would have come to you for explanations.. 🤔 I thought you once believed it was honourable to serve the Lord.

You said he is so foolish for 'doing pastor thing' with his PhD!

I heard you summarize his destiny. You said he was a disappointment. 🥺 When did responding to God's assignment become the path for failures?

I opened the door to be sure it was you, when you said maybe there was no God. Your friends began to quote Plato and Aristotle..

Has it gotten that bad? Jay Jay, I used to tell God to make me dedicated like you. And you accepted to mentor Mfon. Is this part of the lessons you think he should learn and follow?

Jay, so this is what Philosophy did to you. It removed God completely from your ecosystem. 😔 It's just your 2nd year in the university, and your convictions have been this threatened.

You remind me of James who recommended that a letter be sent to church at Antioch to address the circumcision controversy in Acts 15.

James, how many letters do you want to receive before you believe God is calling you back on the track of service? How many letters from the heart of God will address the controversies of your sudden unbelief?

Brother James, I wish it didn't happen, and I don't intend to remind you, but we mourn and deeply regret the death of your father, your only remaining family member after the serial tragedies. 😭😭

You have tried, you have held on, James. But situation has not chosen this new path for you, but you have.🥺

You are supposed to stand, having done all.. to stand on your earlier convictions in God's faithfulness.

It may sound offensive to mention 'God's faithfulness' in the midst of the ordeal and loneliness you have suffered, and the victimisation of your uncles after the demise of your parents and siblings on a row. ☹️

But I wish to remind you that God's faithfulness is a constant, it's not determined by a situation. Count Him faithful. 🤎🤎❤️

Jay, the pains in your heart can be healed. The hollow of rejection in your soul can be filled with the love of Christ. 😍😍

Jay, today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your heart.

Your uncles have snapped you out of your inheritance, but there's a place for you in Christ.

This was the question Joseph asked himself when Potiphar's wife asked him to lay with her. " How can I do this wickedness and sin against my God?" For Joseph, having an affair with Potiphar's wife wasn't only going to displease Potiphar if found out, but it would affect his relationship with his God. How often have you called yourself to order?
