Good Morning Family 🌅🌅
Today's topic on Gospel Daily is "Pressure"
Matthew 11:28-30: "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls."
When we get to certain stages in life, there are certain feats we should have achieved as this signifies growth.
Often times when we're unable to reach our supposed height, we become pressured.
Social media doesn't make it easier because coming online you're seeing your contemporaries gaining new heights and you're still stuck up where you feel or think you shouldn't be.
That feeling of weariness and the desire to match up is called PRESSURE.
Pressure is not entirely bad. Pressure is good to keep us on our toes so we do not slack or become unproductive.
Pressure becomes an issue when we fail to realize that everyman has his own track and we're running an individual race.
Our times and seasons are different. So while your brother achieves a major feat, give a round of applause for him. It's his time.
While working hard to meet up with age appropriate achievements, take care of your health, enjoy the beauty of nature, the laughter of friends and families, take a while to appreciate colours, they're very beautiful.
At every stage in life there's always pressure and once a particular feat is achieved the insatiable nature of man craves for another feat until the day he takes his last breath.
Most importantly, find rest in God.
May God give us rest on every side. Amen.
