Here's a quick one. It's a continuation from Government Over Your Tongue.
I knew the scripture above in my year 2 back in school.
It helped me moderate how I spoke.
Look at the image.👆🏽 What do you see?
'E' means empty,
'F' means full.
On any issue my knowledge metre reads E , I keep quiet.
Sometimes, even if my knowledge meter is F or at the middle, I still refrain from talking.
Silence is good sometimes.
Scriptures also say that in the multitude of words is a fool identified. (Prov 17:27)
Then, when you eventually speak, make it seasoned with salt 'that it might minister grace to the hearers'. (Col 4:6)
Speech without knowledge is a shameful exposure of your bankruptcy.
Speak only when necessary, and do so in love.
